How in Blue Blazes do I remove the Battery from my 1994 Explorer?

There's usually like a plasic clamp/retainer at the bottom of the battery thats secures the battery to the tray - unbolt that.

...As IZwack said...It will be on the battery tray pan and fits into the lower indent of the battery to hold it down...It is held in place with 1- 5/16 screw that you can see from the top...;)

They are correct. YOu will need about a 12" extension to get down on the battery hold down bolt.

Be very careful not to break the bolt. If it's very corroded, it may not want to release and will snap. Removing the stump is a nightmare. Took me over 4 hours the last time I had to replace a battery, just because of this. Otherwise, it's a 20-minute job...
