Sorry but what is this mod. i see that you got more flex but how.

looks good...i think your shocks are limiting your travel though, did you check them?

that is the Zimmerman mod where you cut the eyes off your main leaf spring and use the main spring from a Ford Ranger to connect to your frame, with the rest of your leafs below it. I also removed my overload leaf.

My shocks are stock length, and are mounted to where my antisway bar used to be, using the old swaybar mounts. I still have some room for those shocks to extend more, and they are actually mounted higher at the top, about 1&1/2 inches above where they used to mount.

Hows the ride???????
improved on and off road?

How'd you mount the shocks higher at the top??

The ride didn`t change a whole lot, but it may have made it a little bouncier/softer. I kept changing things as I went though so It`s a little hard to pinpoint every effect.

I have a 2" body lift, which made it possible to raise the upper mounts a bit, by using longer bolts, and pieces of pipe that the bolts just fit through.

At full stuff, the shocks are pretty well at their limit, they go from fully compressed to almost fully open when wheeling. I figure there is about an inch of extension left after max droop.

If you guys are interested further in things like extending my brakeline and emergency brake cable to do the Zim, and many other tidbits, check out my main thread, it has everything:
