I'd watch it, the police will jack you up for the clear turn signals. I have clear corners with amber bulbs, and they look almost identical to yours when off, but the signal color and intensity is unchanged from stock when blinkers are on. Sometimes the look ain't worth the trouble.....

I honestly don't see what their problem with it is, when I'm turning its very obvious, and the only part of a stock lense thats colored is the size of my fist anyway, there are lots of cars out there with stock white turn signals and others who have cheap bulbs who have faded. If I feel its going to be a problem (which, I have been pondering) I was planning on putting the box with the stockers and bulbs in it in my back seat, that way, if they have a problem with it, I can change it on the spot for them.

Yeah, it is going to depend on the cop more than anything else, but the vehicle codes specifically state that front turn indicators must be amber. Depending on where you live, you will either get a fix-it ticket or a fine. I have lived in Dallas, LA, and Lubbock, and in all three places i know of people getting pulled over for their clears. Most times it is just an excuse for the cops to pull over a car full of kids. Twice i have been in the car at the time, and both times the cop said we were pulled over for the lights, and he followed that by asking if there was any aclohol in the car. I don't think I know of anybody getting a fine for them, however.

It seems like everytime we come up with a cool way to modify our rides, the po-po gotta come and rain on our parade. We are looked so lowly upon in our society. "Those guys with those big loud trucks are alway causing trouble" I say leave the clears on and just be really nice with the cops. We need to start getting a better name for ourselves. By the way, I like the blue neon lights underneath your mountaineer.

thanks campbell, I totally agree with you, the cops are too harsh in some states, I am not the only one with the white turns.. infact today after class I noticed a girl in my class had the same setup, but it was on a honda. I live in georgia and almost every small car here has clear corners at least.. The cops seem pretty down to earth (thank god)

The people around here are 95% "fogies" if you want to call them that, they are slow driving people that don't pay much attention and tend to think anything but the norm is unacceptable, I personally LOVE loud trucks and I reguard the drivers of modified or custom trucks higher than I do the ordinary joe on the road, its an act of taste when you customize your car, kind of like saying "I know what looks good"

thanks guys

thats lookin pretty pimpin. how much did you get your ground light for and where at?

the blue lights? thats a 4 tube neon kit form lowglow, it sells for around $200

LowGlow undercar lights

how hard were the lights to install. and what do you have to do specifically to install them, brackets, drilling, wiring, etc??

well, the company recommends the stuff to be proffessionaly installed, but, looking at it, my side tubes are attached to the inside brackets of my running boards, the front one thoough looks like it required some drilling into a peice of plastic between the bumper and engine and all, so yes, they come with the required hardware and there are very little drilling requirements.

the rear tube was FUN.. theres only enough space for it between the bumper and spare, so, if you do get this and take it to a shop, make SURE they know about these tubes! I forgot once. and as a result they crushed it between my body and the spare.
