I need to get new tires... After a year, these cheap 31's I bought have been balanced three times, and about a month ago it was discovered that they are out of round... So the whole truck just shakes as I'm going down the street... That combined with bad shocks (I really need to get my lift kit in with my new shocks) make for a heck of a ride...

SO, I want to get some mud tires... I don't go four wheeling much though, I just like the look of mud tires. Plus, when I do go four wheeling I like to play in the mud...

Anyway, I'm not asking about $70 tires, the set I have now were the first and will be the last set of non-name-brand cheapest tires on the rack I own. I'm thinking BFG, Goodyear, Cooper... Maybe in the $150 each range, give or take some, and that I can make payments on... How are Dunlop Mud Rovers?

Summary for the lazy folks:
Price: $150ish
Size: 31X10.50R15
Type: Mud
Use: 90% daily driver, occasional four wheeling/mudding

You can't go wrong with BFG's, but do yourself a favor and put some shocks on first. Why risk ruining $600 worth of tires running them on a vehicle with bad shocks?

I have mastercraft courser MT's and love them. I think they are made by cooper. I've been very impressed with them.

Just my opinion
CP :D

i have had the mud rovers and they were exc tires i have olso had the cooper discovery MT and they were good as well
i had some bfg MT and i didnt like them as much same truck same rims same size tire and i had more trouble going places with the bfg's then i had same places with dunlop or cooper
just what i have noticed :exp:

Got 20,000 on my Kuhmo Venture MT's and I still love them... and they are inexpensive. Pro Comp MT's are also smooth - balance out well, but are somewhat soft rubber compound.

Before i had my 35's i had 31" dueler mt's and they were great tires. U can get up to 50,000 out of them if u take care of them.Bridgestone makes some great tires. There in your price range too!

It is hard to beat Goodyear MTRs or BFG KMs. You get what you pay for. KMs are a little cheaper than MTRs.

yokohame geolandar m/t's ive gotten pretty good mileage out of them and theyre cheaper than the other big brands.

like uncle said, you get what you pay for. But if you are not worried about mileage or ride, pick the one that looks coolest to you. I also have dueler mt's and they do good offroad and have best onroad characteristics I've ever scene.
