anyone know if a 31x10.50 on 15x7 will fit in the stock spare spot underneath teh cargo area i looked at it and it looks like it should since the wheel diamater is only 2 inchs more and it seemed to have plenty of room for the extra width just wondering if anyone has done it thx

not sure if the 31 fits stock
but I know with a grinder and sawzall you can make a 33" fit so I am guessing you will be fine
You may consider a spare wheel lock in addition to the stock cable/hoist. The cables are already known to break adding the weight of a 31" tire + = more prone to failure bye bye tire

It'll fit.

Yep. A 265/75r16 is a true 31.6" in diameter. My '99 came stock with a 255/70r16 spare which is a true 30.1" in diameter, and 31" tires such as 31x10.5 are really usually slighty undersized in true diameter and closer to 30" than 31". The spare tire bay will fit a 31" (true 30") tire easily; a 32" (true 31") will require the slight bend in the forward bracket like you had to do.

depends on ur truck, mine easily fits a 32" and it got held a 33" fine, just have to guide it up with ur hand

ive got a 31" swamper on an 8" rim that fit just fine...just guide it over the sway bar...

Note that trailer hitches often intrude forward into the tire area. I had to trim over 1/4" from mine to fit a 30" tire underneath.

Thats a good point, many of the older hitches and still some today don't allow for a full sized spare. It seems the newer ones are directly under the bumper, so as not to interfere with spares.
