blue smoke

Im haveing a problem when i sit at a light and take off from the light to make only left turns is only time it does this in my 94 explorer it puts out a big cloud of blue smoke and it has some clattering coming from the engine it only puffs for a second and the smoke and clattering stop i checked a whole bunch of things and here is what i found the water is fresh green looking. The motor oil which i changed like 400 miles ago is like a quart and a half high and i checked it when i changed it and it was fine and i checked the trans fluid and it isnt on the dip stick at all. what do you all think the problem might be the motor oil has a wierd smell but im not used to watercooled cars any more i havent worked on a water cooled front engine car in a long time im used to burnt up nasty oil that i dont eaven know what is right and wrong any more can some one maybe shed some light on this for me any help would be great

Has this just started with the oil being high? Quite possible that thats your problem. May want to drop and drain the filter to get some out.

Maybe try a new PCV valve?

ya this jsut started i was just wondering if the trans fluid is in any way in contact with the motor oil ive seen some cars where they have a engine oil cooler and trans cooler that are connecter wierd gm stuff but im new to the whole ford explorer thing and i was jsut wondering if that could be any of the case i ws going to dump the oil and put some more trans fluid in her and see if it happens again becaue ive looked under her and i dont see any possible leeks in the trans its all dry she dont leek any thing at all and thats where it gets me is where coudl it go if its dry underneeth i have been doing some wheeling but nothing to insane no mud or water or any thing liek taht there is jsut some bumps and dirt and thats all
