Brake squeaking help

A month or so ago I changed the front rotors and pads. Ever since I get a squeal/sound when braking at a certain pressure. If you press light or hard there's no sound. I'd say you only hear it when you're braking at normal using a normal slow down pressure. There's been several hundred miles put on now so I think it should be pass any break in period. I wiped off and put brake grease on the caliper bolts when installing them. I also put some grease on the clips that hold the brake pads. I didn't go crazy, just a nice thin and even coat. I did not apply grease to the back of the pads (part that comes in contact with the calipers.)

What else should I try?

Try to jack up the tires and see if they are freely moving.

You do not ever put grease on the back of the pads, there is some brake squeal stuff for the backs but unless it comes with the pads I never use it. Jack each wheel and spin to try and determine which one is making the noise. It sounds like the wear tabs got bent and are hitting the rotor or if there are shims they could be hitting the rotor.

Solid rotors, or,aftermarket slotted rotors?

Did you " bed in" the pads?

What kind of pads did you use? The type of compound of the pad will determine if pads squeak new or not.

Grease the pad to Caliper contact points. Caliper piston and ears. I have been doing that for over 15 years. My brakes don't squeal.
Not sure why anyone would say not to grease the pads to caliper contact areas. Those areas are going to have movement (rub each other), and thus vibration and sound.
