Is it that big? 10 miles till empty, and I fill 15 gallons. I guess the guesstimate is WAY off.

I can't recall if the Miles to Empty is calculated on your previous or current MPG.

I'm not entirely certain, but it seems (to me anyway) to calculate based upon current mpg - when I'm idling it seems to go down proportionally with my mpg, if it was based on previous 10 or so minutes of idling wouldn't change much at all.
