Cab or Clearance Lights?

OH I SEE HOW IT IS! YOU DON'T APPRECIATE MY EDITING WORK!!!! GRR..

On a side note, I don't really like the idea of drilling my roof.

i install lights like the factory units all the time at work they are fairly easy to install we just drill a small hole for the wires and the lights are held on by self tapping screws they seal with a foam gasket they are pretty much identical to factory units

Ew... mushrooms.....

I do appreciate your efforts, my wife needs to see a really perfect PS, she can't invision things, she actually has to be shown.

EDIT: Please don't post in caps, it's as if you are yelling.

That was the point + sarcasm. I get what you're saying though. *Sigh* Women.. I think she'll grab onto the idea once she sees a preview.

Some opinions from others are welcome. My wife hates the idea, thinks it looks stupid, I don't have a full size truck, bla bla bla. :)

It's full sized enough

I think MG is off his meds again;)

personally i would NOT do it to my truck. So i side with the better half on this one:D

Well, I value everyones opinions, and my Wife's, so I guess this won't be happening. This is why I am glad for this forum, I can always get people to tell me I'm crazy.

I suppose properly done, it would look cool, its just the holes you drill up until the time it looks cool that are the problem. :D

I used to think this would be a great looking thing for a explorer. Im just not sure about the holes tho...

Just a thought -

You could always just tape them there for the time being without drilling holes to get the feel for it.

They have these, which are surface mountable, but I am not sure what the wire configuration is.

Only Temporary

Well, then if there taped on, run all the wire out the back of lights down through the door jamb.

Your roof has those indents in it, run the wires in them, and then get creative with it.. have them go back to a certain length, zip tie them into one wire harness and go from there to wherever your power source is. It's definitely doable, if you're willing. Even for a temporary setup. If you can get a top down picture of your roof I can probably give you a rough idea, I'm pretty good at that stuff, routing wiring n whatnot.

Is the speaker on?

half the fun would be seeing them lit up.

(Turn up the sound on your computer just a little)

Your wife is right... Your vehicle looks great the way it is (without the extra yellow lights) Please don't do this... :(

I'm not poking fun at your idea... It's just that your wife is right on this one.
