California smog

I am looking at a 95 Explorer to buy. It is in PA and I am in CA. Does anyone know how to find if the PA car is CA smog legal? Can I do this with the vin?

...look online for calif dmv...i doubt your pa vehicle has ca. smog on it but you need to check on registering an out of state vehicle on that site...calif,recently did some changes to make it easier to reg. out of state vehicles, good luck...

Best Place to look is at the emission sticker under the hood on the radiator support it will say whether it California emissions or EPA (federal)emissions

but more than likely it Federal Emissions unless someone exported it out of california previously..
