i guess this thread is dead. i wanted to see pics of the spindle flip too. darn.

what the hell??? :thumbdwn:

It took awhile but i climbed out

LOL.......sorry man...been real busy with school and such i transfered back home and whole bunch of other crap so ive been beating myself up...........it'll take a lil while but ill type up as best as i can step by step in dummy terms so that it cant be misinterpreted. Not that your a dummy but its complicating. As far as picts of the flip go......whenever i take the front apart to do some work or something is when i will get them because (not to be rude) but i dont wanna just take everything apart just for some picts........... btw mdj1rngr@cox.net is my email for future reference..... or just give me a ring 478.747.8627
Later guys (for another 5 months....lol),
Matt

All you have to do is take the damn wheel off and snap a pic...

i wanted to see pics of the spindle flip too

what is there to see?? the spindle is now mounted on top of the control arm rather than underneathe it and the tie rod is underneathe the spindle rather than on top of it and the upper arms are raised 2" ............. thats all to see?

Having a mental picture is NOTHING compared to actually seeing it.

THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICS

Ryan

no telling you how to do it is the useful part.....picts arent anything.......why is this thread useless without picts huh.....you going to look at the pict an go ohh i know how to do it now....no you cant bc the pict doesnt show you how to do it........its like looking at progress picts of a bodydrop saying ohh yeah i know how now, let me go do it to mine......if its really such a big freakin deal and itll stop al the whining then ok ill get the freaking picts asap........ok bye bye

i got the freakin picts..........somebody let me know who i can send them to to post them

I understand the decription, except about the lower ball joint. Is the lower ball joint still attached to the same location on the spindle, or is it under versus over the spindle?
By the way does anyone know where I can find a 4x4 spindle from a Sport Trac, or 2001+ Sport? I need it for my 99 mail vehicle. Thanks,
DonW

kinda confused of how you asked the ? but maybe the picts will answer it if not then reword it and ill answer it.......thanks for hostin the picts...

Ah, I read elsewhere that evidently the spindle is rebored to accept the lower ball joint upside down. The tough part of that would be to accurately machine the correct taper into it. That's beside needing to add material(weld) to the hole. Good luck,
DW

someone answer me this......in the post of etc. it says send them to me....not exactw ords but you know what im talking about, but in the email sent by this forum to inform me that he had replied, at the end of his post it has "lose the attitude by the way" why is this on there but not on the forum? kinda pissed me off and just wondering what it was and how it did it? thanks,
Matt

I think that I have seen that somewhere else. Do a search for that phrase. I think it might be part of the signature.
DonW

oo ok its kool but just kinda confused me a little and stuff but ite thanks for the answer......since your checking them and all reword your ? and ill answer it

Wow that's alot of work to fix camber and make a set of arms work. Also are the lower control arms braced at all? having all that material cut out probably isnt all that good of an idea.

Yes, why is the lower control arm cut up in the front and rear?
