1994 Ford Ranger V6 - 3L 215K miles
This truck will not pass inspection because it blows too high on the high rpm test. I have replaced:
1. The EGR valve
2. The PFE (called something esle on the Ranger)
3. EGR solenoid
4. Vacuum lines from the EGR to the pipe that runs off the egr to the exhaust
5. Inspected ALL vacuum lines and connectors
6. Spark plugs
7. Breather filter
8. Oil
9. Oil filter
10. Inspected the charcoal canister
If I pull the vacuum line going from the EGR to the EGR solenoid I can feel vacuum. I don't have the cash this week to buy a vacuum pump/tester. I put a check light on the leads from the solenoid and it lights up when I goose the engine.
Any suggestion? I am out of ideas and really need to get this truck to pass...
