Card Board Bumper

I can do the D-rings. What size lights you think? the flat plate is 6" on the sides and 4" on the bottom. 2 lights or 4 lights? led's or bulbs..

Need to make mounts for the bumper (still on my old lift brackets for the old bumper 3/8 steel though).

Cut the angle on the sides.

Reinforcements.

Did this today :

bumper was sent out tonight to get welded tomorrow by a certified welder.. cost: Helped him move into a new house. (20 bucks in gas plus labor of carrying all his heavy crap x 2 days)

Still need to do the lights and d-rings. I am looking for some sweet mounts or somthing for the d-rings so if you got any post them

mud bog thinking of something sexier than that.. May have to do my own.

is back after like 3 hours of welding here's talent shot.. 3/4 of the welds look like this the other 1/4 not bad but not as pretty

I may come back later and trim the sides in closer to flush.. but who knows.

Now i need to design a spare tire carrier to go with my rockstomper mount.. what fun..

looks good bud. she came along nicely. i'd deffinately trim it in to flush, i dunno but it looks in the pics to be like 6 inchs out on either side lmao. but still looks good non the less ;) ;) keep up the good work and keep us all posted :) :)

that looks pretty slick

under it. its really easy to get to it. the safety chain holders are going on today. and will start grinding it down.

a little help for next time, duct tape does not stick to cardboard worth ****, here at UPS we refuse boxes with duct tape on them. Looks good however:thumbsup:

ok getting there on the finish I think i am gonna trim down the sides some.. its gonna rain tomorrow i guess so i threw a coat of paint on it. Need to pick a couple of flap disks to finish it nicely and some primer.

one side clean partly up.

found out after the fact. my buddy is in school to be certified but his instructor did xray the bumper to check the welds. i guess they used it as a class project on learning.. good its a class that you have to have experience to take. but it was free and its solid. need to reinforce the frame not cause it flexes with the weight of it.

ok asking for a little help ran into trouble i.e the corner sucks to run my knee into the corner of it.. so I am thinking of cutting the corner off but not sure where can you on of you elite photoshop h@cK3r$ do me a favor and photochop it?

Do a 45 on the corner, it looks beter, and it sticking out a little will protect the taillight on the trail. That is how mine is done;)
