Carlisle, PA May 31st-June 2nd

Ordered the 99-00 bumper from bumpers.com and the X Spec Airdam, along with the Windjammer rear spoiler (to be painted white) all should be in within the next 2 weeks, (thank God for fat refund checks) which leaves me what, a week or two to get everything paited, polished, installed, and ready to go? Getting nervous, hopefully the weather will hold out for the install.

YO im gonna be up there Saturday 2pm-till about 11 pm ... If anyone wants to meet up with me there, then just call my cell phone 610-724-1110. I will be up there with a few buddies (who own ricers) but I will bring my truck 2001 ford explorer sport (sporting the east coast explorers decal)... i wount enter it though because i have only done one thing to it (changed the licens plate lights) HAHA! anyway im interested to meet a few of you Xers. Give me a call up there.

Yeah, that's about the same time I'll be up there, Enforcer. I'll be calling Carlisle's managment office soon to see about entering-I'm not 100% sure, but I think that if you enter, you have to stay there all three days. If that's the case, I'm not entering because I couldn't afford the hotel for three days and I'm not going to drive all the way up there twice a day. If not, then I'll definitely enter mine for Saturday. Dasfrem, Pony and EB-do you guys want to enter your Explorers in the show or just park together outside the gates? Jeff, are you going to be up there Saturday?

We can be there. It's only a 1.5hr drive for me so each day is an easy day trip. My wife and daughter will be coming too. I don't think we would be up for all 3 days though. We'd like to get some family time for ourselves that weekend too (read Mountainbiking ).

Well I have a hotel booked for both Friday night and Saturday night, so I can either enter or meet up outside the gate. It doesn't matter really to me as long as I get to see everybody' else's X. I don't have much to show off right now (oooo I can't wait unitl next year) So if it doesn't make sense for us to enter them, it's no big deal.

Of course, if nobody enters their X and I turn out to be the only one who does, do I win the "Best Explorer" entry? That would be pretty cool.

Well, let me give them a call (hopefully tomorrow) and see what I can manage about entering a few Exploders...like I said, it's a slow year for them as far as attractions are concerned, so they "hopefully" shouldn't have any probs with a couple of X's.(I'm still dyin' to see Eleanor in person-I missed 'her' 2 years ago )

I'll let everybody know what I find out.

LMAO-of course you could compete! We need ALL the types of Explorers there-after all, we are a pretty diverse crowd I'd try to drag Lizard down here so the populace could learn the beauty of 35's, but I think the only prize he'd win would be for "Most dirt"

What little bit I'm gleaning off of Carlisle's website is that there's a $30 regisitration fee which includes access for all three days for two adults...Normal admission is as follows:

"Adult admission: Friday $7, Saturday $8 & Sunday $6 Children admitted FREE! Gates open at 7 a.m."

Assuming that we can do the ''enter our explorers for just a day" thing, does anybody want my other pass? I'll be heading up there by myself this year, I think...

i just got back from the Carlisle show today.... I ran into a few X-ers and stuff.... 3 hours to go two miles onto the on ramp, 2 hours to leave the parking lot.... next time I am leaveing to get there like 9 in the morning to get a front row parking spot.... the cops are wild down there..... i got a chick flashing at the burnout contest on tape
