Believe it or not... I cleaned my truck today.... even started to wax it....

Lizard Wax sticks to that truck? wow. make sure you wax that dented fenderflare on the passenger side. what did you do to dent that thing anyways?

well actually, if you look, both fender flares in the rear are dented, the passenger side is from a suicidal tree runnin at me outa nowhere in the woods.... the drivers side is from when my wife pulled my truck up 25 feet and hit a rock.

sounds like you have been having some fun

His loving wife hugged a tree for him :D

VERY NICE, DAS FREM! Looks excellent! Nice pic, too-I like the way the sun glances off the back...

On a down note....I still haven't heard anything about my rims, plus I'm dead broke, so right now it's a damn good possibility that they won't be on in time for the show :( Still gonna paint the calipers though, regardless of you crackheads' opinions, but either a gray or glossy black..

just got my subwoofer in the mail today!!!!!! I JUST MIGHT HAVE IT INSTALLED IN TIME FOR THE SHOW!!!

Been there, done that. I took my old B2 through a quad trail, scratched the hell out of my paint, then at the top of a fairly steep hill, there were two trees in a line, about an inch closer together the the truck was wide at the widest point (aka mirrors and rear fenders) I got the nost through with no problem, hit the mirrors, folded in, dented the doors nicely, then my rear fender flares caught, dented in the same plce on both sides, same size dent. I said f-it, and called them aerodynamic dimples, they were just too symetrical. The only thing that bothered me was that I had just finished painting the beast a few days before, but what are you going to do.

On another note, Spas, black would be cool, paint the engine block blue, factory ford color.

Later,
Shaun

just ripped my intake off... going in the powdercaoting cover in about 20 mins :)

maybe i should clean under my hood..... i havent done it full hearted since i drove through a huge ass mud puddle like the last time i went offroading.... back in the day.

I also bought some red caliper paint today, so I guess ya'll would call me a ricer even though I have an rwd american v6 (ooh if only it was +2) with a 5 speed?

Got the email Spas, whatever angle is cool is fine with me, I may be snaping some more pics today.

Oh and on another note, it rocks to have heads turn now, I have yet to have that with my truck up until yesterday! I think most of them are checking out the number plate though since everybody up here is required to have a NY state tag on the front (but I still kept my TN registration which I only need a plate on the back and have the freedom to put whatever the hell I want to up front)

dude, if you got an amp you dont need a new HU, its really easy to install, you just need to get the wire. how many watts is the amp? how big are the speakers? I would help ya out but dont know how far you are from Hazleton.... I can give you step by step instructions tho

Installing boxes isn't that bad, I put mine in my old truck, in an afternoon. New head unit, Rockford Fosgate 10" punches, and a 400 watt amp. Sounded pretty good too, wasn't the loudest at my HS, but it was the clearest, and as far as I'm concerned, that's what counts. The hardest thing I found was actually running the wires, and figuring out where to mount everything. The hook up was a breeze, follow the instructions step by step, and Lizard knows what he's talking about, take his advice.

jl audio 500/1 amp, jl audio 12" W7... i have been told to be able to feel the power of this sub you need a bigger box then usal. I need to have a box made, and i want to put the amp in the passenger side pannel. He said something like my head unit will destort the amp i have a facotry pioneer 6 disk indash, i dont know anything about the wiring stuff... im in Malvern pa, right next to west chester and downingtown. i have no idea where west hazleton is.

1... to build a box is cake.... the there should be a square footage amount somewhere in the literature for the sub, basic geometry will work that out in the size needed.

2. your headunit will not distort the amp, if you hook it up right it will work just fine using a hi/low adaptor.

3. the wiring is cake,
a. 1 - 4ga cable from the battery to the amp location down the drivers side of the truck. be sure to put a min. 60amp fuse block 18" or less from the battery.

b. 1 - 22-24 ga. wire from the fuse box to the amp, down the drivers side of the truck. (turnon lead)

c. 1 - 4ga ground cable from the closest solid metal point to your amp, you should keep this wire as short as possible.

4. remove your rear speakers in the truck, attach speaker cables to both and run them to the amp location.

5. attach the speaker cables to the hi/low adaptor, taking note of the polarity. (+/-)

6. attach the GROUND cable to the amp FIRST.

7. attach the 12v+ (battery) cable to the amp SECOND.

8. attach the remote turnon lead to the amp THIRD.

9. using a RCA patch cable, connect the hi/low adaptor to the amp.

10. using 10-12ga speaker cable, connect the amp to the speaker.

Thats the wiring aspect of it... not all that hard.

I have no idea where Malvern pa. is, Im located about 5 min from paragon 4x4 park near where rt 80 and rt 81 meet.

Malvern, PA is 30 miles west of Philly near West Chester. I grew up there :D

well im an hour 30 - hour 45 away from carlisle thats all i know... since i have no idea how to do any of the wiring... it sounds kinda rough to me :)
