center console install question

i have read all of the write-ups about this install, but one thing i can't find an answer to.

at the front of the console wiring harness, all of the wiring ends in a big terminal block that is about 2" x 3".

it looks like it is made to mate up with a similar piece from under the dash, but i can't find it. does anyone know about this?

I am adding a center console also. I saw the harness end you are talking about in the explorer I pulled the console out of. When I got home I noticed I did not have it in my dash just like you did. You'll probably have to go to the bone yard to get it.

well i installed mine over the weekend. it wasn't difficult but kind of a PITA because i didn't have that part.

if it isn't already there in your truck, it won't help to get it from another because you will still have to splice in all of the wires.

i did mine by locating the correct circuit for each wire ending at the block, labeling the wire as i cut it loose, and running a new piece of wire from where i spliced in to where i had to connect to the console harness.

it took me about 12 hours.
