Changing Fuel Lines from Steel to rubber?

I'm in the middle of changing the sending unit/ pump in the EX, and I could not for the life of get the line to unplug from the sending unit. (try'd 3 different tools) Any ways I cut the sending unit line, hoping to get the end out later. Well no such luck So, I ask, Can I just run a piece of rubber fuel line to the filter? Any pressure concerns?

As long as you get the proper rubber hose, rated for fuel injection type pressure and the proper clamps you should be ok.
