Hell yes, It hits the trail the weekend it is finished. Just because I am gonna off road it hard doesent mean it cant be shinny and trick!!

Oh yeah, I am bringing my one of my bobcats home tomorrow to reposition the engine a little. I will get the engine mounts marked then pull the motor back out. I am gonna weld the base mounts onto the frame. Then Paint the engine compartment. I will be working on this this weekend. Hopefully I can get it finished and get the motor bolted back in Sunday. Then the fun begins. I just have to bolt everything in and finish up!

One other question: do you have any plans to make any sort of covers to keep mud/dirt out of the engine, or are you just going to clean everything when it gets dirty? I think my heart would sink if I saw a water spot on any component of that engine once you get done!

Nahhhh, my truck is tooo high for mud to get to it!!!



So my stainless polished coolant overflow tank came in today. It looks awesome! I cant believe it is such good quality. I also won an intake from a 94-95 mustang on ebay. It will clear the ac box just fine. I got it for only $35.00!!!!

Tell me what you think. I am gonna have the whole red, white, blue thing goin on. ... spark plug wires are blue, and truck is white

I pulled the motor back out so I can paint the engine compartment. I'll get some pics. I should have some more soon.

So here it the latest.....
The guy that I bought the intake off of ebay was in FLA... We contacted each other and I was gonna pay him for the intake. He said that he checked on shipping and it was gonna be 70 dollars for shipping and that he wouldnt blame me if I didnt want to buy it from him anymore. So I opted not to buy it from him. That would have made the total about 100 dollars. I would rather spend a little more and get a cobra intake.....

So I am still looking at intakes, but besides that....
I went to the junkyard today. I picked up....

1)clutch, brake pedals with the hanger............75.00
( they were proud of this piece )
2)Cluth master cylinder....................................25.00
3)Line that goes from it to the tranny..............15.00
4)the column pieces for the steering column
that dont have the hole for the auto gear
shifter............................................................15.00
5)Gear shifter complete with plate that goes
on the floor...................................................35.00

For a grand total with tax coming to .................175.00

I am probably gonna get a hydraulic throwout bearing to complete the linkage instead of the slave cylinder. It will make it easier and Trick also it is supposed to last longer becasue it is not out in the elements, it is inside the bellhousing.

So I just purchased my james duff long tube headers today. They should be here in a couple of days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the black ones. I am gonna have them ceramic coated when they get here!

So I am getting closer to droppin it in again. My James duff long tube headers came in yesterday.

I am going to get them ceramic coated so I just bought the black ones. I'll post when they are coated and how much it was. They look great This is gonna be awesome. I cant wait to get it finished. It wont be long. I just have to get my tranny adapter from Advanced adapters and this stuff goes in. In the mean time I am working on painting the engine compartment.

CHIEF,

Just a note on the JD headers. They DON'T fit very well! The 96 Explorer Motorsport headers fit much better and they are only $180 at your ford dealer.

If you are set on using the duffs, I have a set that have been coated I'd sell for less than you would have in yours if you return them. We just couldn't return them b/c they had been coated. Email me if interested.
