Cleaning MAF?

Don't know whether this is the right place to ask this question.

I got a Check Engine light recently. Turned out to be the MAF. The mechanic didn't replace it (well I have thrown a lot of money at the car, and don't want throw more at it since I will be selling it in about 6 months time). He used some sort of a cleaner (spray) in situ - he wouldn't tell me the brand (didn't see it clearly). He said it is 'commercial'.

Any recommendations on a good MAF/intake cleaner?

That's the stuff I use, but I have never used it to clear a code, don't know if it will work for that.
