I found some clear corners for around $70 for a 93 Explorer. Is this reasonable or is there somewhere I can get them for less? If you guys could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Replacement lights for Clear lenses

I have the clear fornt Corners and can not locate the LED replacement bulbs. These are BRIGHT and do not fade. I have found red LED's for the break lights, not what I need though. Has anyone found the yellow or amber LED's for the front corners? Where?

Also I have thought about taking out the signals and useing the lower half as another headlight. Just wandering what this would look like. Anyone seen or done this. I would still have the very corners for signals as well as I would drill and mount lights in the top corners of the markers.

Any feed back is appericated.

Thanks

http://www.autosyndicate.com should be able to help you. I dont know if the plastic for the clears would take the heat from a headlight conversion. Dont try it! You will end up w/ melted plastic running down the front end of your exploder.

blue flair, where did you find the LEDs for the taillights??!? I am desperatley looking for a set.. have you used them?

btw, use superwhites in your turns up front, it looks great and gives it a cool blue during the day, check my site for pictures...

try godfather

for the clear corners try http://www.gofathercustoms.com and as far as those leds I have yet to see any for the front but godfathers has them for the rear!!!

GREAT!

thanks a ton man! I heard about the godfather thing today, but coulnd't find them

Re: GREAT!

I have a 1997 explorer and do not have the money to buy the clear corners. I was wondering if its a good idea to try to take out that orange peace by yourself and if so how could i do that without damaging the lenses?

welcome to the forum scexplorer.. I looked at that myself actually, it looks like it may be possible to get that reflector off of the lense itself, but as far as not damaging it.. that would be the difficult part, it looks like it may be removable, but I imagine any company you talk to about it would just tell you to buy the clears..

personally, I like the white reflector the clears give you, it looks kinda like chrome ;)

www.mrtaillight.com might be able to help also, they're working on the page still, but are very friendly and seem eager to help in most cases

hope that helped ya, I really dunno that much about lamp assembly

Does anyone know what the size of the brake bulb is for the early model Explorers? and if someone makes LED bulbs for them? Thanks in advance.

break bulb as in.. tailights? 3157 is the #you need to look for.. 3156 also works.. but the 57 is what most companies make

I paid around $210 total for all my clears, all around and all the proper bulbs, i've had my red bulbs for a month and they have not faded one bit

my rear clears cost me $145.. my fronts were around that as well, I got my tails about a year ago I think.. since then I
've been through more than 5 sets of bulbs, they used to last a long time, but when I started college, they started fading real bad

I got my clear corners on ebay for $55. If only I could find clear headlights!!! Mine are yellowing bad. New OEM's are $95 each. Thats CRAZY!!!

ebay got a couple clear corners and tail lights on bidding.
