Code 336. What Most Likely is the Culprit?

I'm getting a code 336 KOEO on my 94 X.
It mentions the EGR system.

Has anyone had this code and what could be the cause?

Edit: I forgot to mention that I just started getting a miss in the motor.
I checked the vacuum lines already. The plugs and wires are only about 6 months old.
This just seems coincidentle with the code.
Also, no engine light came on. I just decided to check for codes.

336 PFE sensor circuit voltage higher than expected.

A high signal from the PFE might cause this code? hahaha
Have you tried clearing it and see if it comes back?

Often "voltage higher then expected" is a temporary code, meaning the sensor went out of range for a few for whatever reason. Often these codes will not return or are very intermittant.

now if not then your sensor is either bad, or reporting a fualt with the EGR system
Might be time to fix the EGR :) Not that big of a deal IMO, parts are not too expensive and with the right tools its not hard to do, especially on a OHV 4.0L (easy to access)

Sounds like you have two seperate issues, unless the miss is reponsible for the EGR code.

To locate a miss sometimes the easiest way is to pull eahc plug wire one at a time while its running, the dead cyl should have no effect.

I agree with 410 -- it seems you have two seperate issues. If you have a scanner, try to find a Misfire History section or something about a Misfire count and look at it. Usually you'll be able to tell which one it is, but if you can't; pull the plugs and see what they look like. Also, with the wires hooked up and the engine running, spray the wires down with a water/soap solution and see if anything archs or hear a "crackling". You may need new wires. There's a lot more information on this site about chasing misfires; so good luck.
