I had purchased an ODB II code reader for my sig truck to find out why its idling rough.. and it gave me 131 and 151 which is upstream 02 sensors bank 1 & 2 does this sound like this could be the reason its running so rough? the 02 sensors are $80 a piece up here in canada.

With both banks reporting issues ( via both O2 sensors ), more than likely the problem is NOT with the O2 sensors.

Those are not good codes--
An obdII code (which your 96 is) will be a 4 digit code, usually preceeded by a P

like
PO181
PO183

Now, it might be an o2 sensor code, but look further. Was it an 02 lean, 02 slow switching, or 02 rich code???

Try clearing the codes--see if they come back, and read again.

Yea thats what it was P0131.. it has not run properly since i did the lower intake gasket

P0131 = O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0151 = O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

Possible causes include contaminated Oxygen sensors and crossed signal/signal return wiring.

What kind of sealer did you use on the new intake gasket ? If it wasn't silicone free / sensor safe there's a chance that you contaminated your o2 sensors.

i changed them both and its a lot better but it still idles a little ruff

Possibly the idle air control....

how do i test for that?
