Im a newbie, and I just got 31s wrangler MT/R with no lift for my 4 door XLS. I feel the rear suspension is too stiff, and Im planning to remove the factory overload spring leaf and install a composite rear leaf from explorer express. Ive been searching for advice on this with no luck, and I would like to hear some opinions, maybe is not good idea or there is a better way to get a less stiff ride.
I drive 70% street and 30% offroad.
This is the link to the explorer express page:

I hope to get some advice

Hey welcome to the board.
That`s an interesting question, I never noticed those composites on that site when I browsed it. It seems strange though, that they would soften the ride seeing as how you have to compress the springs quite a bit before the overload would make contact. (at least you would on my 93)

A specialty spring shop can make you a set of springs that are softer, but I don`t know anyone who has tried the explorer express ones.

Hopefully my post brings it forward again.

-cheers

The kit he is refering to is EE part # TO250563. They use bumpers to vary the spring rate. I haven't heard of anyone on the board that has tried them.
