I made up a bunch of boards with blue LED'S on them (and matched resistors). Problem is, I don't really know how to connect them to the interior light's power source. The cargo area light was really easy, but the front and middle are proving to be quite challenging. If anyone has done this, then let me know about it. Thanks a lot. If I figure it out, I'll post pics, because it ends up looking REALLY good.

the power wires for the lights run (i believe) right underneather the visors under the headliner. You can splice into that, use some 22ga wire or the like. Im intrested in your panels and wiring as im lookin to do the same but i would probably run switches from the lights so i can turn them on seperatly somewhere handy. All in all id say it be easier to rout the panels through floor and run wires up pillar to where you want to go, removing the headliner is a *****! FYI, the bolt size to take off the oh **** bars is 5.5 MM. You have no idea how many tries iot took me to get that right. I destroyed 2 handles before i got that one right. Also the torx nut for the seatbelts is 50. Those 2 tools and a phillips and you can completly remove the headliner, but its a PITA.

I have hyper white LED boards in my cargo and up front and I got power from tapping in the original source where the bulb connected. Why bother with all that crap sn0 said if its already all right there?

all i was suggesting was another way to connect the lights so you can turn them on from wherever you want, inside rear hatch ect. Id still like to see the panels you guys made as i want to get these together soon. But to do what you guys are asking dont you need to remove the headliner?

yes afboy, but how did you hook them up is my question?

Take down the console and u will see three wires running to the stock lamps, splice away after testing of course

how exactly do you pull the lights w/o removing the headliner?

keep in mind that youve got a 1st gen and hes got a 2nd gen...so maybe its different? i dunno, i havent worked on the domes much in either but i know on 2nd gen you can pull the overhead console with the lights in it in the front without dropping the head liner
