like everyone else said that's a nice lookin truck
It's nothing special. I've got other plans for it still, to take it to the next level.
Once the weather warms up some, I'll be doing a few more custom things on it.
Body work is going to be another full project in itself. The mods that I want to do are going to take all the skill I have to pull off. Just think prerunner fenders without the fiberglass...............

I plan to pull my BII bedsides, the metal, no glass in the back...not a wide body kit type thing but actually pull the bedsides out like a Ranger can do. To pull this off in a BII the entire cargo area gets cut up
it's all part of the "stage III" build up I have been planning for a few years now...just need to hit the lotto

Why would you do that?
Make a spreadder jig out of wood. Separate the quarters from the wheel tubs. Expand the quarters to the desired amount without popping the windows. Make a filler panel to bridge the gap over the wheel tub. Weld it all back together. Presto done. I wish I had done this while I had the whole thing apart.
I've got a 90 parts truck that has good quarters I'm going to hack up.
The 90 will end up looking like this before it goes to the shredder.

because I am going to be chopping up alot of the body and will likely not have a floor where the cargo area was, hell I might not even have a frame, all cage and 4 link

did you attach the fiberglass buckets to the grill or are they seperate?
The chrome grills aftermarket are like $35 so when mine gets worn I just replace it, I think in 13 years of driving the BII I am on grill #4, it would be a shame to have to remake the whole thing just to get new chrome
Also what did you do to the front spring hangers in that picture? I mean I know you used taller hangers for more lift, just curious how and what you used, also how does it work?

They are just glued to the back of the grill with Urethane adhesive. Mines's no longer chrome so I don't have to worry about that.
2wd F150 spring hangers. F150 springs. extended shackles. I've gotten atleast 6" lift without blocks.
How does it work?? You tell me!
I need bumpstops or I'm going to break a spring.
My build is not the run of the mill type of build you guys are used to seeing. Most of it is custom fabricated or modified to work.

That's funny.Great work on the truck.
Why is that funny? None of my lift parts are aftermarket RBV ones. Believe it or not I'm running parts from a Chevy, and some from Dodge. Figure those ones out

I believe you and commend you on building a cool truck.
It's just that there are tons of people on here using parts from different trucks, manufacturers etc... The solid axle swaps aren't from RBVs either or "run of the mill" in anyway.

Nice work on the "custom" truck, but you are far from being alone, I have alot of parts on my rig but I have also fabricated ALOT
I can stuff my 35" up there that far no issue and I have 2" blocks!
I am quite used to seen heavily modifed and custom rigs, not everyone bolts on drop bracket lift kits

When I ment run of the mill truck. I ment guys that bolt on a Superlift or Skyjacker lift. I've gone through 8 years of messing around with TTB, to get it this far. And I still have a bag of stuff I haven't pulled out yet. Personally I think this rendition out performs any run of the mill kit, you can get right now.
It was about this time last year that I started building this thing.
BTW 410....SJ 6" coils are 400 Lb/in rate. I had a set at one time.
The dirty ones are the SJ. clean ones are the 3.5" EB coils

Skyjacker told me directly my 6" Ranger coils are 350#? Odd.
Your ttb looks good, flexes well, what are your future plans for it?
I personally hate the drop brackets and custom beams was about the best mod I ever did.....next time around I am re-locating the ball joint, adding d44 knuckles and extending them 4" per side aft the radius arm. I will be running coilovers, no more shock and coil, uniball pivots and heim radius arms with a swing set steering. I am keeping the TTB not only to be different but because I LOVE the way it rides and handles the bumps

Maybe your right. I was under the impression they were closer to 400.
Let’s do a bit of math. On my Ranger I had with the 6” coils they sat at 15” and I had added a ¾” spacer under the coil. So that totals 15.75” total spring height.
Now when I put that same D35 under the bronco with the 5.5” coils I added a 1.5” spacer/bucket under the coil it leveled everything to the point I never had to mess with the camber at all. The EB coils sit at 17.25”.
Both used the 4” Drop brackets
Just yesterday I took the Bronco to the scale to weigh the front to get an idea of what I need for coils to work. 2508 Lb’s (1140 KG’s) now subtract 350 Lb’s for the unsprung weight of the axle beams and the tires/wheels. That leaves you with.2158. Divide that between the two coils 1079 Lb’s per coil now the TTB has a compression ratio of 1.5 due to the pivots on the frame giving it a mechanical advantage. You now have 1618 Lb’s per coil
So if the ranger crushed the coil 4” that would put the spring rate to 404 lb/in +/-5.
If you see a hole in my math then let me know.
Both the trucks were set up pretty close to the same. Same engine, big bumper, 33’s on steel wheels.
For those to be 350 Lb/in coils, the front of your B2 would have to scale in at. 2216Lb’s
V8….Auto. = 2216? Don’t know man. Something sounds fishy to me. Could be my math. Then again, I could just be talking out my a$$.
