They all have the inspection plate/ aluminum spacer between the trans. I'm starting to think it was never installed and using the "spacer thinkness" as a cop out.
I'll be honest I put a motor back in once without it. When I went to go grab the engine harness to put it on the motor the spacer was right there on top. Needless to say I stopped there and pulled the motor back out to install.
