I have a 2005 ford explorer sports trac and it will crank but wont start. It's has power all the way to the fuel pump but the fuel pump isn't coming on. The fuel pump is good i have tested it to make sure. I don't know what could be causing this problem any help would be appreciated. Also the fuse diagrams I look up online do not match the lid for the power distribution box any body else have this issue. If so where can I locate the right one that has the correct layout for the fuses. I appreciate any and all help. I am a single mom of 3 and I need my vehicle.

So a 2005 sport trax is a one year thing
It is different from the 04 before it

Your truck has a fuel pump driver module

If you have power at the fuel pump and the pump is not running then you have a bad fuel pump

You can try to put battery power directly to the fuel pump
Using the wires right at the fuel tank connector
And if it still does not run then you need a new fuel pump

The computer will disable the fuel pump if it is not happy with the security key

Your theft light should flash slowly and go out when you crank the starter
If it does not and it flashes rapidly then you have a security key issue

The check engine light should also be on when you first turn the key
And the check engine light should go off as soon as you crank the starter

The fuel pump works I have tested it before I got it put in. The old one was good too, it's just not coming on when I turn the key on but there is power going all the way to it. Can I run a wire for a toggle switch and get it to work thay way?? Is it safe for my vehicle. Im at a total loss and i have no one to help me.

Yes bypass or test and replace the fuel pump driver module

It is located in front of the spare tire on the frame crossmember

The pcm commands the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump driver then controls the fuel pump

You can check power in and power out. You can bypass it
It is quite possible it is broken
