Here is the exhaust I just installed on my 94 sport. This is a great, cheap way to do it for better sound.
First I removed both cats, then I cut the rear one off of the the front one.
Next I beat out the catalyst in the front cat. I needed to retain the flange that attaches to the exhaust manifold/collectors? because it is a special oval shape with 3 studs.
Then I reattached the front cat to the collector pipes and took it to the muffler shop to have them bend the pipe and weld it in place.
The muffler is just a standard Turbo muffler that my friend had laying in his junk pile. (Freebie!!!!!)
The whole thing cost $50.00 and the sound is awsome!!! My Ex actually sounds like a truck now.
As you can see I had the shop position the tail pipe so it would be out of the way of rocks when wheeling.
