Here is the exhaust I just installed on my 94 sport. This is a great, cheap way to do it for better sound.

First I removed both cats, then I cut the rear one off of the the front one.
Next I beat out the catalyst in the front cat. I needed to retain the flange that attaches to the exhaust manifold/collectors? because it is a special oval shape with 3 studs.

Then I reattached the front cat to the collector pipes and took it to the muffler shop to have them bend the pipe and weld it in place.

The muffler is just a standard Turbo muffler that my friend had laying in his junk pile. (Freebie!!!!!)

The whole thing cost $50.00 and the sound is awsome!!! My Ex actually sounds like a truck now.

As you can see I had the shop position the tail pipe so it would be out of the way of rocks when wheeling.

Yup! Old trick, crowbar does a good job. But most won't do that around here because of the emissions tests. I had a old truck that was overheating and no exaust comming out the rear. I crowbared the cat and all was well. I forgot about it and the following year it wouldn't pass the state emissions tests and I ended up putting in a new cat. The cat (very expensive back in the day) was worth as much as the truck. LOL!

looks good dude

That is the beauty of AZ-No emmission tests. They let any old POS drive around out here :D

LOL! Thats why I said "around here". I know there are some states that don't do the emissions test. Wish my state was one of them.

Looks great. I too love living in a no emissions state!

Looks great. I was checking mine out today thinking of hacking it all up. Any particular reason you added the muffler instead of just pipe?

Straight pipe is just annoying, I drove around for a few days with no exhaust and it was way too loud for me.
