I found this company out of Canada. They can do custom leafs from 2" lift to 24" lift. Someone ought to check into this and see what they will do Explorer leafs for? :D

Great find, I only heard of Canadian spring out here, and for some reason they weren`t interested, didn`t search out that way because it is about an hour out of town.
Did you try an e-mail yet?
If not, I`ll try and call them to test the water. Might be a good deal for you guys south of the border, what with the power of the US currency and all. I forked over mad cash for OME springs, DOH!

What about Deaver or National in CA?
They make most of the leaves for all the desert racers in Southern CA

Please let us know what you find out. I am interested in some 24" lift springs :)

Oh, I didn`t realize you were being sarcastic, slipped right by me. In that case to hell with it, lets all have a good long laugh!

:p

I wasnt being sarcastic at all. Please keep us informed as to what they say. I would like to know what the cost is and shipping to the US.

I have sent them a couple of emails with no repsonse as of yet. Someone on here a while back had a hook up for OME springs, I haven't tried national or denver yet but I know denver springs are $$$$$$$.

My buddies prerunner runs Deaver leafs on it. Lots of travel and a good price. Hes friends with a fab guy from Camburg so he gets some deals but I think he only paid like $350 for his pair.

Have you seen my explorers :) He He. Just for a possible future project it would be good to know.

They sound pretty open-minded to whatever you might have in mind, and Im kicking myself now for paying so much for my OME springs!
Would have cost me only 304 cdn for a set I could have went and picked up myself..

" Thanks for taking a look at our site and taking interest in our product.
At Carrier Spring we build all our own custom hand fabricated lifts with the fines materials around. Custom Spring orders can usually be filed and made within a week and shipped out within 2 weeks. Like all orders placed we ask the customer what he expects to receive out of his new springs. We make your springs just the way you want them, customized around your needs so that you can fulfill your adventures and journeys.

Our Custom springs are built like no other. We strife to be the best in our industry when it comes to designing and giving the customer the best springs money can buy. Our springs are built with N.A.’s fines steel and usually come with full military wraps, our superior 3 sided diamond cut leafs, Teflon anti friction pads on the ends of each leaf, RB bushings, any necessary clips etc. Poly urethane bushings can be ordered at an additional charge. Springs will be built to any specs that the customer chooses. Such as soft ride, heavy duty, super articulation, etc.. Also we can finish your springs in any color that you want. No longer do you need to order a spring in plain black if you don’t want to. We have a variety of colors to choose from, pink to chrome whatever you choose the choice is up to you. There has never been a better time to take advantage this great opportunity to have the best performing and looking spring in the country.

Our regular 2" Ford Explorer rear spring sells for 152.0 Canadian ea spring. At this moment that works out to be 117.0 American per spring.

Again thanks for giving us an email. If there is anything I can do to help you guys build up your explorers give us shout, it would be our pleasure. We are fully capable of developing any kind of spring you want for your explorers as well as being able to send our springs to any area of world, in a time frame suitable to you.

Thanks

Tyler "

At least they replied to someone. I wonder what shipping would be...

Tempting. I just scored a set of used ones with 75,000 miles on them for about $120 less than I could get a brand new set for from this place.

Bad timing. Would definitely have ordered a set if I didn't already have some.

Well, I was going to keep quiet when I first saw this thread but I guess I'll tell ya. I ordered a set of the 2" lift springs on July 6th but they were out of stock at the time. So finally, two months later they wrote me saying that if I was still interested that I only had to let them know and they would start building my order. I didn't order anything fancy, just their regular 2" springs. (I am only going to be lifted 2" with AWD  -but I'm trying to talk my wife into letting me get a real transfer case :D ) I should get these in about two to three weeks and once I get them mounted I'll give a report about how they do on the trails around here in the middle of f---ing nowhere, MO as compared to the stockers.

$350 sounds about right for a standard pair of Deavers (2", 4" or 6" lift). Customs will run you closer to $550 (modifying for extra weight, etc) but they ride awesome
