pffft i wish! here are the results for NOX

15 MPH MAX 999 measured 1785 GROSS POLLUTER
25 MPH MAX 859 measured 1552 FAILED

i got some work to do here;)

just put like five cats on it!

when i got my black explorer, she previous owner gave me any paper work on it that she had. when it was smogged last feb. it was 996 15 mph NOX

but when i just smoged it recently, the numbers we're all lower than the "normal"

Well i am gonna put 2 on it to replicate the factory style set up

right now it only has one on it and it's too far back.

the thunderbird is running! yup yup, started it up today. surprisingly it runs good. nothing leaking or sounding weird. it did have a problem at first that it wouldn't idle, but i then noticed that the IAC connecter wasn't clipped in :D but after that it ran great. drove it to that gas station and back and i forgot how fun it was to drive. broke traction on the rear tires pretty easily  now i just need a window.

nice way to start off the new year

LOL I did the same thing after I got done swapping the motor in my X :D

but see I knew you could do it

:D

we'll see how long it lasts though. cause i had the WRONG vavle cover gaskets, so i managed to crack on vavle cover in three places and it doesn't sit flat on the new, CORRECT, gasket. it buldges where the holes for the bolts are. (the first attempt gasket did give a flat surface to sit on, so the pressure from tightening the bolts cracked and buldged em.

so right now they're working, but i tried to "band aid" the covers by filling te cracks with super glue and rtv :D

1/12/08

the white explorer is in the body shop

..so, how much did they quote ya???

1k if i bring my own door, fender, rear glass

....cool, that will work...;)

i gave it on last chance to survive. if the shop wanted to much $ to do it, then i was gonna part it out. but it seemed like $1k wasn't a bad price. just gotta fix up the black one a little bit more, and then figure out which one im gonna sell

You'd probably have a better chance selling the black one because it's never been rolled.

well come on, it didn't roll, it just layed down on it's side :D

last night...

sold the t-bird. it wasn't on the marked, but some lady wanted to buy it, so i said sure. this should help me get motivated to fix the brakes on the black ex, because right now the navajo is my DD again.

I admire you're knowledge and skill in automotive and mechanics.. buTTTTT!!.. dont you have a bike to ride? :D

mark, that was talking about the valve covers on my 3.8 supercharged thunderbird. it never leaked or gave me any problems, but now its the new owners problem if it ever starts leaking

thanks for the offer. i'll keep it in mind on my next explorer project
