Well this is the first time I am posting in the 06+ Explorer forum, Im looking into getting a new Explorer, and have been shopping around. I am seeing alot of Explorers with different color screens in the gauge cluster, green, yellow, and red. Why is this?

I am not positive about the explorers, but i know the newer mustangs give/gave you the option of which color, so maybe it's the same thing in the explorer.

You can't change the colors on the 06+ explorers. Green is the standard color, yellow is usually a warning message, and red is when the doors are open.

What information can this screen tell you, other then mileage, Compass, and if there is a door open?

On mine it's Trip A, Trip B, Mileage, Gallons Used, Instant Fuel Economy (5 or 6 bar graph), maybe one other.

It also does open doors, oil life, air filter life, head and tail light monitor, some other things like that. I'd have to go look to get the rest of the info.
