My clear corners where starting to get a little brown, so I figured I'd try to clean them out. So I put a little Greased Lightning in the housings as well as some bleach. Well, all the chrome stuff inside the housing has came off, leaving me with lime green corners. It sucks, looks like I'll have to pay another $60 for new ones.

WARNING TO ALL. :fire:

Ouch, I made the same mistake a few years back with the factory lights and superclean.....good ol soap and water is your friend

Windex and most glass cleaner will do the same thing.
I lifted the chrome from many interior pieces over the years before I finally caught on it was the windex.

good info guys. i was thinking about doing this the other day, as mine are starting to "yellow". think ill try the windex.

Umm... I think he means don't use Windex.

oh, ****. thanks Yob. i had just woke up, an guess my comprehension skills were still asleep. glad i didnt try it.

heh...I guess the good 'ol soap and warm water could do the trick. I'll try that when I have time later.
