- 2001 Ford Explorer Sport
I've read posts about the locking problem, but I really just don't think they answer my problem all the way.
2001 Explorer Sport, I have the number pad (Which I don't use) on the door. The Lock/Unlock button on the keypad only works on the passenger, and the drivers door doesn't do anything. When you go to open the drivers door, the handle is EXTREMELY flappy, and you have to pull it hard to open the door. I can hear a clicking and rattling inside the door. When we had it out, we couldn't see anything really. I'm getting a new sound system..and I really want to lock the doors, but they're all jumbled. Any ideas to get it fixed? Talking to the Ford Dealer here..they said it was close to $250..minus labor? I find it hard to believe.
