Not surprisingly, the DPFE went on my 00 Explorer Sport, therefore killing my gas mileage.

I'm 17 and I reeeeallllly don't feel like spending the bucks on a new one from the dealership/parts store. Am I going to run into more problems if I hit up the junk yard tomorrow and nab one off a 4.0 Explorer/Ranger?

I doubt I will, and I'll probably do it regardless, but I'm gonna check here to make sure.

BTW - this place kicks ass for Exploder tech. Solved all my problems with one hour on the site yesterday, if I had the money to donate, I would

Welcome to this forum! Moisture could easily damage a DPFE sensor. I wouldn't want to get one from a junk yard unless they give you a guarantee that if it doesn't work, they will let you exchange it or get a full refund. I won an OEM DPFE off eBay for a decent price. Not sure on how much I paid, but it was definately cheaper than one from a local Ford dealer.
