Hello, I have a 95 4.0L EFI Explorer and I have some engine troubles with it. It runs rough under 2000 RPM and then goes well till 5000. My spark plugs and the air filter are new. Under LPG, the engine is unusable and I have sparks detonation, under gas it's hard to run. I suspect a DFPE problem on it. I tried to monitor the DFPE in order to see if the problem comes from it. With a voltmeter I obtained : 0.65 V at idle and while I increase RPM, it goes quickly to a peak at 1,2 Volts and then goes quickly back to 0,6V even at 5000 RPM. Also, plugged or not plugged, the engine runs almost the same exept that if the DFPE is unplugged, the MALF indicator lights up. What do you think about these voltages ? I think, there's a problem, but somebody could confirm, before I buy that part. I live in France and unfortunately, Ford parts are quite... expensive !
