Guys,

Replacing U joints before they fail.

Opinions wanted.

Moog/Precision 270 Series

Or

Dana Spicer 1330 Series.

Either way going to be heavy duty with grease fittings on outside of each cup.

I bought them for my trucks a while back, one or both of those brands, from Rock Auto and Amazon. Comparing prices, I got the stronger versions for a good price. I think those brands are still the best choices.

I only buy Spicer solid or non grease able u joints.

After years of destroying normal grease able joints I switched to Spicer solids and I get 3 times the life out of them.

Jury verdict is in.

Dana Spicer

Cost is not an object.

Dropping the front of the drive shaft on the road is.

It could be painful.

I have used both brands with excellent results. I've launched a driveshaft into orbit from using cheap junk.

I'd stick with the non-greasable joints for serious usage, those are stronger. The type with grease fittings should only be used when people will regularly add grease. If you do fine with the grease-able type, then those are great if you keep up with them.

I do not recommend moog u-joints. I've had too many fitment issues. Their suspension parts are their strong point.
