I have a 96 XLT and the driver side seat belt has been jammed for months. Been to busy/lazy to take it to the dealer to get it fixed and was wondering if it's something I could maybe fix? I put the seatbelt into the clicker and the clicker just will not hold the seat belt. I don't know if it's dirty in the buckle itself or what exactly is but it's driving me crazy cause of course it's not safe to drive daily without a seatbelt on! Plus I'm tired of worrying about cops when they pull up and I don't have my seat belt on. I want this fixed! I tried spraying WD40 in it after someone told me it could just be dirty with "gunk" but that didn't seem to do anything. How can I replace/fix this?
Is it common?
