Oh ye Colorado-ians --

I'm driving from Colorado Springs to Copper Mountain on Thursday to spend a few hours on those glorious slopes of yours.

Is it better to take 24-West and then 9-North or head towards Denver via 25-North and then cut over via 70-West?

Google Maps suggests the first route but 24 and 9 looks like it might slow down significantly if there are any drifts on the road. And the 25 to 70 route is only 20 more miles.
