Figured this was the best place to put this thread.
I recently acquired some 1" ratchet straps from work that were going to be thrown out. Reason being the hooks on the end were cut off for some dumb reason, so as they stand now they aren't really usable.
I figured I would take them and see if I could devise a way to put some hooks on the end and use them. Problem being due to lack of skill I don't want to so the loops in the end, I wouldn't trust my work with it. So I'm trying to find an easy and safe way to terminate the ends of the straps. I've looked online some and the closest thing I could find was a strap adjuster that would work, but I couldn't find any that had enough weight capacity for these straps.
Does anyone have a good idea for this? I'm sure there are ways out there to do it, just none that I know of. I know almost every way possible to terminate wire rope, just don't know anything about straps like this.
