Yeah Its a common problem. I just noticed yesterday that my interior door panels are fading IE look like they are drying out. Time to get the Armor-all.
mine were doing that on my 02, and I had them swapped under warranty. I hope it won't be a problem anymore, I garage the truck whenever it's at home now.
maybe a thread should be started to inform people that those peices should not be treated as glass. I've even seen people at the car wash clean them with window cleaner.

Eh....I repainted the rear ones on my '96, so i think i can do it again. And these new ones are just plastic. I have the chrome pillars on them now but i'm not sure i like them.
There's a link below if anyone would like to comment on the chrome door pillars... Keep or ditch? I'm sure if i removed the pillars it would take the clear coat with it all around. They're adhesed by double sided tape and would require a light amount of carb cleaner and a blow dryer to remove.
