Couple quick questions, These two issues were present before I ever modified my Mercury so I know its nothing I changed or caused.
One-- My auto headlights stay on for 3 minutes after key off, I read that someone said it was due to one of the famous breaking wires in the driver door boot. I repaired all of those when I bought the truck last year, Haven't found any broken and everything else works properly. Is it a programmable function (I don't have message center) or is there a problem somewhere?
Two-- Not really a problem but a difference I noticed between this and my Explorer. The puddle lamps come on with the dome lights every time, on the Explorer, If the truck is running, the puddle lamps dont come on with the domes. They do come on as soon as you shut the truck off, If the dome lights are on. Whats up with that? Also the Explorers auto headlights only stay on like 30 seconds after key off. Which is what Id like the Mounty to do.
