Ive got an 05 white explorer and so far I havent heard anyone take off the emblem on one that new so I was wondering if anyone knew if it was a sticker or its got a hole.

if its the same as my 04, its just stickers. no holes. if all the letters are separate, there are no holes. if they are connected, you might have holes, but i can not confirm this as mine were not connected.

Hey its that a bull bar you have on front? That actually looks pretty badass from your little avatar picture. Do you have a larger picture? Im lookin to put a full brush guard on the front, a skid plate, winch and off road lights on there as well as a safari rack on top.

Should be 1 screw behind the grill

My 96 has a screw on each side of the grill emblem.

I'll be replacing my front grille, (so losing that badge) getting rid of everything else and replacing the rear ford badge with

I got it off a guy on ebay for 8 bucks shipped.
Couldn't really go wrong.

use a hair dryer, and twist firmly until they start to twist around, then pop them off. Also, if you are going for clean, if you still have your side moldings, use the hair dryer on one corner, heat it up, then pry it up, i used some nylon rope and went back and forth till the edge was up enough to grab, then pull as you heat up the backside with your hair dryer. Then use goo be gone to clean it all up.

Now I'm interested... Does anyone have a picture of a 4rd gen with the moldings taken off?

I have an 06 and i took my emblems off with Floss, and GooGone. There was no holes when i took them off. There was four emblems i removed, one on each of the front doors, and two on the rear hatch (explorer emblem and Advanced Trac emblem.)
