Help! I got every thing going well (PA 3" Lift). Snapped the head off the bolt on the front passenger side! The long one w/ threads at the top and middle. I guess the only thing to do is drill, reverse tap, and some how try and get it out. I'm soaking it in wd40 at both ends now. Any ideas lemme know!

Oh man, you should of did the wd40 thing before you started wrenching. With the head broke off you should be able to get a hammer and punch and drive it out? Or jack some weight off the frame and sawzall the bolt between the OEM bushing and frame? Beings that your not reusing the factory bolts.

If I sawzall, I'll loose the bottom of the threaded part, where the new bolt goes in, I think that's prob'ly not a good idea. Any one else have an opinion on that? I did raise the body thinking that some of the bolt may be exposed enough to get a pair of channel locks on it and spin it out of the top nut, and bottom threaded "tube" thing, but no bolt was exposed.

Now I'm thinking, how far up do the threads go? Maybe they end before the body itself, and I could get a sawzall up there? Again, any more ideas?

I'm gonna go look at the sawzall possibility. Be back in a bit. I'll take some pics too to save some one else the hassle!!

Thanx for the reply!

Don't worry, got it! Didn't realize I could just unscrew the bushing nut from what was left of the stud. Actually wound up busting the top nut loose. Now I'll just have to hold the nut while tightening the new bolt. No probs, I'll take more pics.

It's in. Only snugging down, radiator relocate, and bumpers to go. Thanx for the help.
