I have recently bought a 95 explorer xlt with the 4.0L,the previous owner had a clogged cat so he cut it off at the y-pipe(engine side of the flange),and has the exhaust rigged into a dual setup, one side with a really long glass pack, the other with the cat bypassed with a flex tube.
Also the 2 vacuum lines that go from the egr are missing, and crimped.
I know one goes to the dpfe and the other goes to the intake, all that being said..where does the line at the intake connect, and can the glass pack on one side and the stock muffler on the other side cause any serious damage to the engine?i have to drive it this way for a little while because the exhaust has to be replaced from the manifold back
