So today after some heavy snowfall I was driving through a nice amount of snow covered roads at approx 30 - 40 MPH when all of a sudden the "Engine Failsafe Mode" message appeared (Incl. Wrench) Engine never stopped and everything still ran fine nothing seemed out of the ordinary.. I arrived at destination, than when I left drove the same way home (Snow had been plowed by now) and it didn't pop up.
Is it a major worry point? I read Throttle body is the most common problem but also that it will cut the engine off if it happens... Or could something just gotten wet and triggered it? No codes...
ps. 2005 Ford Explorer XLT
