You wont notice it, But it will help. I like the way it sounds personally.

An intake will be most beneficial in combination with an exhayst.

Good luck....

so one of those ebay items and an flowmaster will help out a bit? i dont really know to much about the engine part of things so any tips/ suggestions will help. Is the cone all i need or do i need the tube thingy too?

The tube is basically for looks, the stock intake tube is smooth on the insude.

If you really want more, consider an Apten chip or Flasher ( http://www.apten-us.com/ ) to go with the intake and exhaust.

You need torque multiplication. Thats exactly what you lost when you went with bigger tires. Torque at the drive axle = (torque of the engine) * (transmission gear ratio) * (rear end gear ratio). Say you have an engine that make 300 ft/lbs of torque @ 4000 rpm, a first gear ratio of 2.95 and a rear end ratio of 3.75. Thats 300*2.95*3.75 = 3300 ft/lbs of torque. of course this is divided down by the size of the tire you use. The bigger the tire, the bigger the divider and less torque to the pavement.

If I were you I'd go with steeper gears. Almost all engine mods move the power band up higher in the rpm range. If you do gain anything down low, it won't make up for what you lost from the tire size, unless you go with more displacement or a whipplecharger.

Change the gears in your axles that should take you back to stock or almost stock and then just upgrade like you would any engine.Without changing your gearing and adding on a bunch of stuff your just working the engine harder to turn bigger tires.

I'll second that! Intake and exhaust is only gonna help if you've got the torque. You need to change to lower gears. What gear ratio were you running w/ the stock tires? What size tires did you put on? If your running 31''s you need a min. of 3.55 gears, better off w/ 3.73s. If your running 33'' tires you'll need at least 3.73s in the rear...better off w/ 4.10s. If you don't know your stock gear setup..just do a search for axle codes...plenty of posts on the codes. Also keep in mind if your 4x then you'll have to change the front gears as well. This is the only way to get your power back!
