I have always had race cars never trucks so this is my first one. A must have for Buffalo winters. I have a 01 explorer sport 4,0L sohc. The exhaust is on its way out and I have been reading for days and cant find an exhaust system for the sport only the sport trac. I would like magnaflow or flowmaster. If anyone could help me out with where I can find this exhaust or one similar to sound. Thanks

Try Gibson Exhaust. The make nice stainless and mild steel systems. Have one of their stainless systems on my ranger and like it. It fit really well too.

Check with local muffler shops. Might just be cheaper to buy the muffler from a respectable eBay seller and have a shop weld up the muffler and exit where you want it to. Gives you the option of customizing it as well.

I personally went with cheap Flowtech Red Hots and I'm doing a custom dual cat-back.

I just bought a Holley Flowtech Red Hot 50252. I'm setting it up with a y-pipe and Walker Dynomax 2.5" tailpipe.

i got single in and dual out 40 series flowmasters on my 01 sport

Drive acouple hrs east to my exhaust shop, ill hook u up, flows will sound nice, did a few 4.0s.. Gibson seems too quite to me and a few others think it too..

I had the exhaust shop here put in a dual in single out 2.5" Goerlich xLerator muffler and full 2.5" piping for about $250. It's a straight through design that looks just like a y-pipe with small perforations. Great for performance and even made the SOHC sound great. Just throwing out another brand for you to check out since they don't advertise much. Don't know why bc it's a great one

Full bore is the next louder mufflers they make.. I had that xl on my 5.0 first with true duals n it was throaty but I felt around 3800/4k rpms the sound kinda stayed the same tone... just my $0.02..

I was looking into a Full Boar 2.5 dual in/dual out muffler. Seems they're straight through and cheaper than Magnaflow. Might be something worth while...
