91-94 all use the same Cologne OHV pushrod motor, but otherwise not sure what differs. For what it's worth, on my 91 I had a shop custom work in a Flowmaster 2 chamber 40 series. This was over 100,000 miles ago and it's still perfect. Great sound, lots of it when in town, not much on the highway, sets off alarms in parking garages, and I got a great boost in mileage. I cut the resonator, put in 2.5" stainless pipe, and high flow cats (which today is an expensive proposition). Went from less than 15 to over 17mpg every tank, and get 21 on the highway. Never need to drop a gear on a hill anymore either.

There is a difference, if you plan to use all stock hangers.it will fit but you may have to make some of your own hangers.

Some 93's have 2 oxygen sensors, some have one, and some have egr. I think there may be cat converter differences also. 93 is weird year.

The difference between the 91-92 and 93-94 exhaust is mainly the exhaust hanger at the rear of the muffler.

The 91-92 used a two-prong hanger that had a rubber insulator on either side of the pipe coming out of the muffler. The design was changed on the 93-94 to use one single hanger.

There were diameter differences, the stock system on the 91-92 used 2.25" tubing, the 93-94 used 2.00" diameter tubing, but this doesn't affect aftermarket exhausts as 2.25" tubing fits either just fine.

The solution to using a 91-92 exhaust on a 93-94 Explorer is simply to get the hanger from behind the muffler from a 91-92, or fabricate one with the same mounting points.

Dynomax still makes their Super Turbo muffler and cat-back kit for the 93-94 if you wanted a bolt-on:

If you still wanted the Pacesetter kit for some reason, it's less expensive here:
