There are quite a few options out there. Could get a Gibson cat-back, a Flowmaster muffer or kit. You could get duals or single out. Depends what you want. A lot of people have either the 40 or 50 series Flowmaster. I'm putting on a 50 series soon.

Just took a look at the flowmaster...its nice. Wish they had more sound samples for a SUV type vehicle....

Def a possibility here...

That's the SOHC like yours.

That sounds really cool. Is it single in dual out? Wonder if the gibson cat-back system would sound that good. Thanks for the post. Probably just sold a lot of flowmasters to ford owners.

That sounds good X24, but it sounds different than the other video of you peeling out.

I have the gibson cat-back on my V6 and couldnt be happier with it. Hardly noticible when normal driving or on highway but when you punch it, it sounds great.

Hey Texplorer, is the Gibson as throaty as the Flowmaster?

Thanks guys.

It's a dual in dual out flowmaster 50 SUV performance muffler.

The Gibson is a little more quiet than a flowmaster. I think they have two totally different sounds.

I have a 40 series flowmaster with a single out (I'm cheap). Anyway - I am so happy I did it. It was $225 for the muffler, a chrome tip, and the bending.

Flowmaster 40 (non-delta, not super), 18" tip stainless tip, bending, resonator removal, straighting the rear pipe all for $200 flat, on Monday.

i dont mean to steal this thread but i have a question i have been wanting to ask ... just to lazy to start my own thread so here goes ...
i currently have a dual magnaflow exhaust and when i first got it i really liked it ... but know i dont like at as much ... i dont know what happened?
anyways ... i want to change my exhaust to flowmasters but i dont want my car to get any louder than it already it is ... when i heard the flowmaster that X24 had i really liked it but it seemed kinda of loud ...
so i guess the question i am asking is what should i get if i want the sound of the flowmaster just not so loud ...
and which is louder the 40 or 50 series flowmaster

The lower the number the louder it is. Mine's a 50 series. Maybe you should try a 70 series.

i didn't know a 70 series existed ... thanks
im goin to look into that one but if anyone has a sound clip of a 70 series i would appreciate it

man that setup is exactly what i was lookin at but wasn't sure if the 50 would be loud enough i got a single in single out 40 series now and want duals. that sounds better then my 40 now. its beautiful!

Well, I'm sold. I've ordered my 50-series cat-back system (and a new cat as well, mine's partially clogged). I can't wait until my Ex sounds like that (or close, I won't be running dual)
